2014 turned out to be a difficult season for Broomfield with the club facing another transition after Portland Pavilion was closed in January and eventually demolished. The site had been sold to Warwickshire County Cricket Club who would provide both bowling clubs with a 3 year lease to finally have some security at the Portland Road site.

In April both greens hosted the Midland Alliance County Championship contested by the Potteries, Warwick & Worcester, North Midlands, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. Warwick & Worcester won the competition beating Staffordshire by 38 shots in the final. In August all four Warwick & Worcester Cup Finals were held at Portland Road with Kings Heath Park beating the Greville Arms in the Premier 'A' Cup Final on the Broomfield green.

Team success only came for the Oldbury side captained by Ollie Newman. Runners Up in Division 1 for the first time since 2006. The Oldbury Cup was won on W.B.F.S.C. beating the George 'A' in the final. Ollie Newman and Jonathan Blakeman won the Oldbury G.T.Wilson Pairs on M&B.

The Warwick & Worcester Premier team recorded its worst season since joining the league in 1978. Only 5 wins from 22 matches losing 6 times at home. Few positives to look back on although respectable performances were credited away from home during the second half of the season against Royal Austin British Legion, Boldmere St Michaels, Acocks Green Legion and the Royal Oak. Both W&W teams were relegated and will play in Premier 3 and Alliance 3 respectively next season. The Smethwick Sunday morning teams also suffered with the 'B' team relegated to Division 3 and the 'A' side only managing 5th place.

A first season in the Summit Garage Premier League (Division 2) saw Broomfield miss out on the prize money by just 3 points. A 50% win rate was achieved with home defeats to the top two teams Maggies and Kings Norton and away wins against the bottom two teams Selly Park 'B' and Woodfield 'B'. First time visits for Broomfield to Chadsmoor (Staffs), Highley Miners Welfare Club (Shrops), Netherseal St Peters (Derby) and Hawkins Sports (Staffs). Daniel Chilton the first average winner and John Hardman the only player to feature in all 18 games. The Dudley team finished 3rd in Division 5 for the second season running. John Hardman won both the club averages and league averages. Six of the eight cup competitions we enter saw first round exits. The newly resurrected Super Cup saw Broomfield face top Potteries outfit Birches Head Hotel for the first time in the clubs history.

John Wilson enjoyed individual success winning the W&W Premier averages for the first time since joining the club in 2006. John also won the Club Handicap for the first time. Of his 68 games in 2014 John never lost a game single figures. Ollie Newman remains the standout performer for Broomfield winning 78% of his matches, made further impressive with 66 "A" games of the 67 he played this season. Ollie won the Oldbury averages for the 9th time and the Smethwick 'A' averages for the 11th time. Ollie Newman and Jonathan Blakeman qualified for the W&W Individual Merit Finals at Ye Olde Knowle in June. Dave Griffiths joined the club part way though the season and won 15 of his 16 matches. Joe Wilson played the most games (92) for the third season running. 35 players were used in 2014 with the club depending heavily on 24 bowlers (11 played less than 20 games). Four players featured for Broomfield for the first time in Manjeet Panesar, Paul Hentrich, Dave Griffiths and Katy Lang and Alan Parsons confirmed his return towards the end of the season.
