No winners for Broomfield with scores of 7, 10, 11 and 20. Wins for Darren Grifiths 21-15 and Ollie Newman 21-16 would help reduce the deficit by four shots with Broomfield only dropping only seven shots in the middle four. Can you also try and sell some horses, we need to sell 128 which is 2 owners per horse. First race 8:00pm at Smethwick Conservative Club. This event is to say thank you to the club for allowing us to use their facilities this season and give them some much needed takings to help the club through the winter period and next year as we may not be using the club nect season due to the new building at Portland Road. Many thanks. Sumo."

The averages went right down to the final game and could have gone one of five ways with Keith Underhill, Malcolm Spencer, Jim Watkin, Dave Griffiths and Frank Newman all in contention. A further two winners in the back four took Broomfield into the lead by 10 shots: Dan Chilton 21-11 and Jonathan Blakeman 21-16. That left Mark Hadley and 'Monty' Panesar on the green in poor light and they scored 18 and 15 respectively to see us over the line by a single shot (147-146). Broomfield just missed out on the prize money and finished in 6th place. Two away wins against the two bottom teams and two home defeats against the teams who gained promotion. The averages were won by Dan Chilton with 11 wins from his 15 games, a plus of 59 shots and 18 points. Most MVP's went to Jonathan Blakeman (4) followed by Dan Chilton, Chris Price and Terry Jones (all x3). A squad of 10 players were used with a further 6 players making one off appearances. Thank you to everybody who supported the team both on and off green and also to the members of M&B who helped marked cards for the majority of the home fixtures.
