16/07/07 - Last Friday the first team reached the quarter finals of the W&W Arthur Mitchell 'Bomber' Cup. We beat Drakes Drum 'B' by 10 shots after a close game in the rain. We will play Ward End Cons or New Inns Four Oaks in the next round. The Oldbury Seniors won their game against the Old Cross 'A' to move into the semi finals of the cup.

11/07/07 - Broomfield has been chosen as the home venue for the W&W Junior County semi final.

20/06/07 - We are now half way through the 2007 season. Although we still find ourselves in eight out of the eleven cups we entered, league success has been harder to come by. The W&W Premier team now find themselves in the relegation zone of Division 2. Away wins are a must and we are certainly feeling the effect of playing three away games on the bounce. The Alliance team have this week moved out of the relegation zone and head towards mid table with another home game this Saturday. Ollie and Paul Newman have been consistent in the first team, both winning eight out of eleven games. In The Alliance, Andy Calvert and Tracy Wilkins head the averages after playing nearly all the matches.

The Oldbury 'A' have not matched up to previous seasons and have struggled to win away. Our most recent game being a whitewash away at the George. I have tried my best to field our best eight players but can't help but be disappointed in not challenging for the league like we usually do. Of course we will feel the loss of players like Nigel Freeman, Ian Tew and Matt Barnwell but on paper we should be performing better away from home.

The West Bromwich team have again had their problems with fielding a settled side, only Denise Killion and John Hardman have played in all nine games. The table shows we are not yet safe from the drop so home wins are a must. Denise welcomes Marc Wilson as a permanent fixture and Malcolm Spencer is now available full time.

Our Dudley side sit 5th in Division 2 but still have a very good chance of winning the league and gaining promotion to Division 1. The Oldbury 'B' are bottom of Division 4 but this team is giving vital experience to several beginners. The Oldbury Seniors are 7th in Division 1, winning at home and losing away. John Hardman being the latest addition to a seniors side with a brighter future.

The Smethwick 'A' recently lost at home to our rivals West Brom Labour. It will be very difficult to win the league now but players must remember we now play the bottom four teams in the division. The Smethwick 'B' have also lost at home and once other teams play their game in hand could find themselves bottom of Division 2.
