13/06/16 - On Saturday the W&W Debbie Williams Ladies Individual Merit finals were played at Broomfield. In the final Maliza Herbert beat Liz Buckley 21-7. Broomfield also hosted the ladies merit finals in 2012 (Winner: Kirsty Darling) and 2015 (Jan Pratley).

The W&W Junior Individual Merit finals return to Portland Road next Sunday (19th June). In 2012 we hosted the finals, won by Eddie Wakeman beating Andrew Brittan in the final. This years finals are being played on the M&B green, 9:30am check in for a 10:00am start.

06/06/16 - Thanks must go to the 17 volunteers that helped on Sunday to ensure that the W&W senior county match against Cumbria ran smoothly on what was a hot and sunny day. In the home leg at Broomfield W&W won by 49 shots with eight winners. Best cards coming from Greg Smith 21-7, Chris Bergin 21-7 and Paul Hemming 21-10. Man of the match went to Elliott McGuinness (21-11) on debut. On his 165th appearance for the county Paul Gamsby won 21-18 against John Reilly who was the All England runner up on our green back in 2013.
