05/04/18 - Amended fixtures for our Warwick & Worcester 'B' team in Division 8 are now available on both the bowlsnet site and this website. The season will still commence on Saturday 14th April but the opponents will be Banbury 'B'. The fixture programme now matches that of the 'A' team with no league fixtures on 26th May, 9th June, 21st July, 28th July, 25th August and 22nd September.
04/04/18 - Please see below a statement from the WWCBA following the decision to amend fixtures after Kings Heath Park 'B' resigned from the league just three weeks before the start of the 2018 season:
Once again I am coming to you as fixture secretary with an apology.
Once again we have had another club withdraw last minute from one of our leagues. I was notified last week that Kings Heath Park have withdrawn their ‘B’ team from Division Seven, and once again it has left a disparity with Division Seven having 9-sides and Division Eight having 11-sides. I have had a number of requests and have discussed the matter with fellow officers that I rectify the imbalance, whilst also bringing the league closer to the format that we want of divisions of 10 teams.
As we still have time before the start of the league on the 14th, I have taken the decision to modify the league structure yet again.
To rectify this and to bring Division Eight down to a division of 10 i have moved New Inns Four Oaks ‘B’ from Division Eight into Seven to replace Kings Heath Park.
Therefore any team in Division Seven that were down to play Kings Heath Park will now be playing New Inns on the same dates.
To bring Division Eight into the same matrices as the rest of the leagues I have had to generate a whole new set of fixtures for THIS league only. Unfortunately to accommodate the changes again, I have had to modify some fixtures in other leagues to avoid clashes. Apart from the obvious Division Eight, all affected games are still against the opponents you were due to play, the only change is in the Home/Away arrangement of a handful of matches, these will be highlighted on a PDF I will be circulating later today.
I will be updating the Bowlsnet site at lunchtime today, please be patient, but I will send out a new pdf of fixtures and also ask Chris Price to email the new fixtures to club secretaries.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience, but we as an Association are striving to get the best possible opportunities for our member clubs.
