24/04/15 - Tonight's Dudley Herald Cup 2nd Round match has been conceded by Penn. Broomfield now progress to the last eight.

15/04/15 - The Bowls4u Team Challenge takes place on Sunday 19th April on the greens of Broomfield B.C. and Mitchells & Butlers B.C.

9:30am - 9:50am practice. 10:00am start. 16 teams at £60.00 per team with prize money as follows: Winners £400, Runners Up £200, Losing Semi Finalists £120, Losing Quarter Finalists £80.

14/04/15 - Six winners for the Summit team last night with an 18 shot win away to Selly Park 'B'. Nine points on the board with wins for John Hardman 21-10, Joe Wilson 21-11, Darren Griffiths 21-12, John Wilson 21-13, James Dugmore 21-16 and Dan Chilton 21-17.

13/04/15 - A look back at the weekends results starting with the W&W Premier away at the British Oak. Ten shots adrift after the first four with wins for Jonathan Blakeman 21-12 and Dave Griffiths 21-16. Just one winner in the middle four (Katy Lang 21-16) saw the deficit increase to 27 shots. Another 19 shots were dropped in the back four with one winning card in Joe Wilson who won 21-19 after trailing 15-19. Final scores 185-231.

No game for our W&W Business Houses team whos season starts on Saturday 25th April. Also no game for the Smethwick 'A' team after the Royal Oak 'A' cancelled the fixture (re-arranged for Friday 1st May).

The Smethwick 'B' kicked off the season with a full house at home to Coseley Tavern in Division 3. Eight winners in a 77 shot victory with single figure cards for Denise Killion 21-4, John Hardman 21-5 and Tonia Hadley 21-8.

11/04/15 - Broomfield are through to Round 2 of the Dudley Herald Cup following a comprehensive 73 shot win over Dudley Sports yesterday evening. A 64 shot victory at home with all four winners: Jonathan Blakeman 21-0, Chris Chilton 21-4, Ollie Newman 21-4 and Mick Barnwell who ran out from 9-12 to win 21-12. Away at King George V Park, Kingswinford there were wins for Keith Underhill 21-9, John Hardman 21-14 and Dave Chilton 21-19. Final overall scores: 156-83.

10/04/15 - A tough opener for the Dudley team who went down by 66 shots away at Greets Green last night. Two points taken from the match with wins for captain John Hardman 21-17 and Tonia Hadley 21-20. Averages updated.

02/04/15 - The first team selection meeting of the 2015 season will take place on Saturday 4th April at 12:00pm inside the new pavilion. Thereafter selection meetings will revert to Sunday afternoons at 1:00pm.

02/04/15 - A polite notice that 2015 yearly subscriptions are now overdue. Those owing should have received an email from the Treasurer Dave Jenkins. Fees can be passed to any captain or committee member.

01/04/15 - A disruptive start for the Smethwick 'A' team this season with three of the first five opening fixtures being re-arranged. Our opening fixture away at the Royal Oak 'A' was due to take place on Sunday 12th April, this has been re-arranged for Friday 1st May. The return fixture at home to the Royal Oak 'A' was due to take place on Sunday 19th April. This match will now take place on Friday 17th April. The George away fixture, scheduled to take place on Sunday 10th May has also been cancelled. We are awaiting re-arranged dates from the George at present.

The preliminary rounds of the Smethwick cup competitions take place this Sunday (5th April). Both Broomfield teams do not feature until the first round on Sunday 31st May. On the Broomfield green this Sunday the Beeches 'A' face Langley (10:30am start).
