20/03/15 - The Bowls 4u Team Challenge will take place on the greens of Broomfield B.C. and Mitchells & Butlers B.C. on Sunday 19th April. 16 four man teams will compete for the £1160 prize money with the winners collecting £400. Practice 9:30am - 9:50am. Start 10:00am.

19/03/15 - On Friday 10th April Broomfield will play Dudley Sports (4 home 4 away) in the first round of the Dudley Herald Cup.

18/03/15 - Great news to confirm three new members for the 2015 season, all accepted at last nights committee meeting. Two players for the Summit League team in Luke Fagan and James Dugmore. Helen Williams (former Smethwick Labour, Gate Rood End and Langley) has also joined us and is available for our W&W Business Houses team. Welcome to all!

11/03/15 - Fixtures for the Smethwick & District Sunday Morning Bowling League are now available. Click here for the "A" team fixtures and click here for the "B" team fixtures. The 2015 starts on Sunday 5th April with preliminary rounds of the S.F.Jones Cup (Division 1 & 2) and the Consolation Cup (Division 3 & 4). Both Broomfield teams don't encounter cup matches until the first round on Sunday 31st May. The Broomfield green will be in use on Sunday 5th April as Langley 'A' face Beeches 'A' in the prelim round.

The league programme starts on Sunday 12th April. The 'A' team are away to the Royal Oak 'A' and the 'B' team start life in Division 3 with a home fixture against Coseley Tavern.

10/03/15 - Broomfield will face the George 'A' in the Oldbury Cup in a repeat of the 2014 final. Both teams were drawn out in the quarter final stage which takes place on Monday 15th June. The winners will play either Royal Oak 'A' or Bell Inn 'A'.

09/03/15 - Many thanks to all those that turned up to help with pre season work over the weekend. 10 volunteers on Saturday and 5 on Sunday ensured that more than half of the painting was completed. We will be looking to continue the work on Saturday 14th March and Sunday 15th March. Site clearance work also took place this weekend on the car park and overgrown shale tennis courts.

09/03/15 - A reminder that the next committee meeting takes place on Tuesday 17th March (7:00pm start) at the Edgbaston Foundation Community Sports Ground.

06/03/15 - The green opens tomorrow at 1:30pm. The work party will start mid morning and any help will be greatly appreciated. Painting is now the main job left on the to do list (benches, striker boards etc).

05/03/15 - It's now official, Broomfield Bowling Club are tenants of Warwickshire County Cricket Club. At a meeting last week the lease was signed with Treasurer Dave Jenkins and committee member Mark Hadley present.

04/03/15 - The Warwick & Worcester informed clubs yesterday that the Greyhound have withdrawn their Business Houses team. This means Broomfield will only play 16 games in W&W Business Houses Division 2 this season. The dates originally scheduled to play the Greyhound should now be treated as a bye (15th & 22nd August).
