23/04/2009 - A round up of the midweek games. The Oldbury side made it three wins out of three with a 74 shot home win over Woodman Saltwells last night. Eight points collected which should take the team to the top of Division 1 after the Beeches lost at home to W.B.F.S. At Broomfield the points were shared after the first four, 13 shots up with wins from Mick Barnwell 21-5 and Marc Wilson 21-19. The back four all put in single figure wins and added 61 to the aggregate: Jonathan Blakeman 21-4, Ollie Newman 21-5, Chris Price 21-6 and Darren Griffiths 21-8.
The West Bromwich team lost by 15 shots away at Langley. Three winning cards in Terry Jones 21-10, John Jones 21-13 and Mark Hadley Snr 21-16. A third consecutive defeat for the Dudley team tonight losing by 17 shots at home to the Royal Oak. Only six points collected from the first three games, tonights winning cards from Mark Healey 21-8 and Nigel Francis 21-16.
01/04/2009 - Thank you to everyone who helped sell tickets for the skittles evening taking place this Saturday. The fundraising event is now sold out with 65 tickets already sold.
A reminder from Denise Killion that yearly fees are now overdue. Denise will be at the club at some point on Saturday to take payments.
26/03/2009 - The playing members for 2009 have now been confirmed and registered. 34 bowlers will form the membership this season. Club handbooks will be provided to members when fees are paid, Warwick & Worcester handbooks will also be distributed where possible.
The draw for all Warwick & Worcester cup competitions will take place this Saturday.
The friendly match against Codsall has now been cancelled. Codsall now have a cup game on 4th April. Cradley Libs will now play in place of Codsall but the game will be played at Broomfield and start at 3:00pm.
As long as no heavy rain falls the green will open this Saturday at 12:30pm after it has been cut.
01/03/2009 - The friendly match against Codsall has now been confirmed. The game will take place on Saturday 4th April at Codsall, 2:00pm start, 12 a side. On the same date a fundraising event will take place at Broomfield. A skittles night has been organised, more details can be found on the club noticeboard or by contacting Darren Griffiths.
Work parties will now be held on Saturday 14th and 21st March. Still plenty of work to do and your help would be much appreciated. The green will open, weather depending between 21st and 28th March.
