27/03/08 - News...

A friendly will take place this coming Sunday morning between the Smethwick 'A' side and the Smethwick 'B' side. The game will start at 10:30am.

The 'Nomads' indoor team finished 5th in the Hadley Stadium Sunday Indoor Bowling League.

We have drawn Hilly House 'B' in the first round of the Dudley Herald Cup. The game will take place on Friday 11th April, 4 home 4 away, 6:45pm start.

We have two newly registered players in Joe Wilson and Lynne Lawlor!

The path is finally completed.....

14/03/08 - The green officially opens tomorrow but has already been in use over the past couple of days. Subs are due by the end of March and can be paid in at the club on a Sunday afternoon. Club handbooks are in the process of being printed with some already being given to players. The W&W Handbook for 2008 has not yet been distributed to member clubs but can be viewed by clicking here.

The friendly against Moor Lane will still take place on Saturday 5th April. This is the same day that West Bromwich Albion play at Wembley at 12:15pm. Aston Villa are also at home to Bolton. Any players who will not be available for the friendly, please let Jonathan Blakeman know asap. The format may change but the current plans are for the game to be 10 or 12 a side and use the new Saturday times (home team practice up to 2:40pm, away practice 15 mins, 2:40pm - 2:55pm, draw to take place at 2:55pm, game starts at 3:00pm)

The long awaited path which runs down the 'start' side of the green was finally started this morning and should be completed by Sunday afternoon. Help is still needed pre season, benches need painting as well as the rain shelter and part of the pavilion. Sheila Newman has made another plea for more people to help out this season.
