26/03/06 - Next weeks teams can now be viewed in Team Selection. The Smethwick 'B' side are to meet at 9:45am at Broomfield.

Nomads won both games yesterday to regain the indoor title from the Baggeridge. Wins from Mick Barnwell & Ollie Newman (22/4 + 15/6) and Frank Newman & Denise Killion (14/8 + 14/5) gave us the 6 points we needed. Ollie Newman won the averages with a plus of 179, Frank Newman won 17 of his 18 matches.

League winners prize money was £170, Baggeridge collected £150 for runners up, Old Cross £140 for 3rd place.

Green opens this Saturday, as always there are plenty of tidy up jobs that need doing before the season starts. First selection meeting is this Sunday.

People were shocked to see this sight yesterday at Hadley Stadium:

(Mick helping to put the carpet away, pigs have flown!)

12/03/06 - With no fixture for the Nomads today, the Baggeridge played twice to finish their season. They won the first game against Coombswood 48-24 collecting 3 points. In the second game they won 50-22 and collected all 4 points. This means they lead us by 5.5 points but we have 3 shots over them with 2 games in hand. Two 3 point wins over the Old Cross next week would be enough to win the league.

Due to poor weather the green will now open a week later than planned, Saturday 25th March.

09/03/06 - More info on the friendly matches against Woodfield: Both games start at 3:00pm with no practice for visiting teams. Food will be put on.

05/03/06 - The friendly matches can now be confirmed for Saturday 1st April 2006 as follows:

1st Team vs Woodfield at home, captained by Phil High. (12 a side)

2nd Team vs Woodfield, away, captained by Karemjit Gurdas. (12 a side)

At Hadley Stadium today, Nomads collected their 6th maximum points win in eight games. Wins from Ollie Newman & Phil High (17-8), Chris Price & Jonathan Blakeman (16-10) and Frank Newman & Denise Killion (15-5) gave us a 25 shot win and 4 points. The Baggeridge beat Bearwood Sports by 30 shots and again took the full 4 points. This means with only two games to go, Nomads are 1.5 points and 55 shots clear of the Baggeridge. There will be no fixture next week which means we end the season with a double header against the Old Cross on Sunday 19th March.

The West Bromwich team will play Penn 'C' in the first round of the Handicap Cup. The date is T.B.A but the game must be played before Monday 15th May. Broomfield will field two sides in the Arthur Mitchell 'Bomber' Cup and one side in the Free Press Cup.

Bowls section subs need to be paid to Steve Blakeman before Saturday 8th April. See the Club Information section for your subscription fee.

02/03/06 - Nomads remain 1.5 points clear at the top of the Hadley Stadium Sunday Indoor Bowling League after The Baggeridge also collected the maxium 4 points on Sunday against Bearwood Sports.
